Having problems with your dog? If you and your dog are not quite seeing eye to eye and you are at a loss as to what to do, we can help. Following is a brief overview of some areas in which we can help. Give us a call or drop us a note to discuss your particular situation.
Potty Training
Many adult dogs also have issues with their house training. This happens a lot especially with smaller breed dogs as house training can be more challenging for them than for a larger dog. We do address house training for adult dogs as well. There is no reason to continue being frustrated or embarrassed that you are still having a house training issue with a mature dog, help is available! See our Puppy page for more specific details on our potty training programs.
Private Consults
We also offer Private Consults, at your house or ours, for those times when you need some focused one on one help. Some of the areas we can help with are:

Assistance with destructive, problematic or worrisome behaviors

Partnering with you, and your dog's team of health care professional(s), to
identify, from a holistic perspective, potential causes and solutions for frustrating
health &/or behavior issues

Helping to identify &/or find the perfect breed or dog for you
Leadership 101
Aaah, that "leadership" thing. Been watching some "Dog Whisperer"? If you have a sneaking suspicion that you are playing 2nd fiddle to your dog, our Leadership 101 package is for you.
Some common signs that a role reversal may be in order are:

Your dog charges to the door ahead of you and "controls" entry by others,
regardless of what you think about it, potentially even nipping guests.

Once potential health issues are ruled out, separation anxiety is often a sign that
there is a problem. A dog with a "behind the scenes" personality will frequently
react to his perceived leadership role by turning into a "basket case".

Your dog is always underfoot, not able to simply relax, nap or entertain
themselves without worrying where you are. If you stop and think about it,
your dog is behaving as if you were a 2 year old human child and the dog is the
parent.
