 Recently my staff attended the Daycare Management Course at Urban Tails Academy in order to expand their dog handling skills in the kennel and in future daycare groups. The teaching materials used in the classroom were extremely helpful in expanding my staff's knowledge of dog body language and communication. The lab time spent on the floor with actual dog groups was invaluable and was the best way to experience the interaction between the dogs.
I see a big difference now in the way the staff handles our boarding dogs. They are more aware of their body posture and how it relates to leadership and confidence. They use verbal praises more often in order to shape the dog's behavior. Even more important, they have a new enthusiasm for their profession and are proud of completing this course.
Urban Tails' instructors carefully appraised each staff member's level of experience before and after the course. I received excellent feedback on each person's weaknesses and strengths in each area of daycare. This experience was worth every penny!

Sorry I have not written to you sooner. I just wanted to say thank you for the nice visit to your home away from home( Urban Tails). We had a lot of fun and learned a lot, it was unbelievable how much I learned in just a couple of days. I would recommend this training to anyone. Even when we went to lunch, the food was great too. All your employees were so nice and accommodating , they showed us the signs and the things that we need to know, also took the worry of possible fights that we thought would be and let us see what was really happening, the game.
I even enjoyed your fantastic storms. I know I am weird, ( I like earthquakes too) but, I am from the east and California doesn't get great storms like that.
